Kishi Bashi @ First Avenue

We need to remember not to show up early for concerts at First Avenue. Twain opened for Kishi Bashi last night, his set went on for a l-o-n-g 45 minutes. Armed simply with a guitar and his voice, his music would probably work better in a smaller, more intimate venue. Just past 9:15 pm, the Stranger Things theme song and red lights came on the stage, and [finally] Kishi Bashi started playing. The guy is a looping genius. [I'm probably not using the correct terminology / phrasing, but I'm not a musical savant like he is.] At one point he even crowd-surfed while playing the violin!
With special guest, for the first time in Minneapolis, Mr. Steak! Hahaha
